The 10 minutes version is the most crisp and best edited one. It emphasizes co-operation between energy sources rather than competition and conflict. Shall be acceptable in China and India where all energy sources are being developed. That is 40% of world population but others including the top energy user US shall find it more acceptable, like natural gas if costs are similar. Use of nuclear energy for in situ gasification of coal (via high temperature steam) could possibly reduce mining deaths. May even reduce costs. High ash coal deposits could also be exploited. Non-volatile poisons could be left in situ and the gas could be cleaned of volatile poisons and suspended matter before use The process may also be feasible as an alternate for bitumen deposits like Alberta sands. |

Anyone looking to recycle this, take another look at the Internet Archive entry... http://www.archive.org/details/ThoriumRemix2009 There's now MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 versions of both 10 minute and 25 minute remix. 10 Minute (no bookends) MPEG-2: http://www.archive.org/download/Thorium ... inVer.mpeg 10 Minute (no bookends) MPEG-4: http://www.archive.org/download/Thorium ... okends.mp4 25 Minute (no bookends) MPEG-2: http://www.archive.org/download/Thorium ... orDVD.mpeg 25 Minute (no bookends) MPEG-4: http://www.archive.org/download/Thorium ... 80x360.mp4 MPEG-2 is for DVD (author 4x3 aspect ratio). MPEG-4 is for YouTube or just about anything else. Obviously MPEG-2 files are big, MPEG-4 files are small. So unless you're authoring a DVD, just use the MPEG-4 files. |

I agree, the 10-minute version is the best yet. This is the one I am circulating as a quick, interesting intro. It is crisp and concise, and hits the important points about LFTR: - What is it - What are its benefits - Why isn't it common already - What are the barriers to commercialization And thanks for putting the 10-minute version on YouTube -- here is the link: LFTR in 10 Minutes - Thorium Remix 2009 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LeM-Dyuk6g |
